Short classes for pep assembly.
FIRST HOUR graded and turned in vocab lesson 1, but then we realized that we didn't have enough time to do everything. We'll finish tomorrow.

ABSENT? Grade and turn in vocab lesson one. Tomorrow in class, you can take the quiz and pick up vocab lesson 2.
THIRD HOUR played a vocab game called Balderdash.
THIRD HOUR ABSENT? There is nothing to make up.
FOURTH HOUR graded and turned in vocab lesson one. Then we took vocab quiz 1. Students had the rest of the hour to complete vocab lesson 2 (due 9/4).

We discussed literary terms as they apply to "The Sea Devil" passages. We annotated our passages, using literary terms from vocab lesson one and from vocab lesson two.
ABSENT? Get notes from someone whose notes you trust. You'll also need to talk to a few people until you are sure you understand what we did with the passages.
