TUESDAY, September 11
We continued our study of Commonly Confused Words with a longer assignment.

ABSENT? Students worked in pairs today to complete this assignment, but since you were absent, you will have to do the work alone. Choose a pair or set of words from the handout and complete the other instructions.


WEDNESDAY, September 12
Use the same list of Commonly Confused Words and write as many sentences as you can. Each sentence should include both (or all) words from that set. Example: choose/chose are the first set. You should write ONE sentences that includes both choose and chose. Write as many sentences as you can in one hour and turn them in.

ABSENT? Pick up or print a copy of Commonly Confused Words and follow the instructions above.


THURSDAY, September 13
We began our analysis of a piece of film.

ABSENT? Are you kidding? You missed a great time we had watching and studying a short piece of film. You can't really make this up, and we didn't do an assignment to turn in, but you will be at a disadvantage since you missed this. You need to talk to a friend or two to find out how it went, copy any notes we wrote down.
