Mrs. Grubb was absent. Students read "The Second Tree from the Corner" (782) in our literature book and completed a literary terms activity.

ABSENT? You need to read this story. Either check out a book from me and read it at home, or make an appointment to come in before or after school and read the book in class. Then you need to complete the literary terms activity.

WEDNESDAY, September 5
Timed Writing over The Scarlet Letter: We took the entire hour to respond to a special prompt about the novel.

Each student picked up a copy of Vocab Lesson 3, and those who had time began working on it in class. Vocab Lesson 3 is due Monday.

ABSENT? Make an appointment to come in before or after school and make this up. It will take approximately one hour. Pick up or print a copy of Vocab Lesson 3. Be ready to turn it in on Monday.
