MONDAY, November 13 HANDOUT--vocab lesson 14 (due Monday, November 20) ABSENT? Turn in vocab lesson twelve and make an appointment to come in and take test twelve. Also, pick up or print the HANDOUT, vocab lesson fourteen, which is due Monday, November 20. TUESDAY, November 14 ABSENT? Pick up or print a copy of the handout. Write a paragraph according to the instructions on the handout. Attach your Salem Witch Trials and McCarthyism questions (the ones we did in the computer lab last week) to the back of the paragraph. Make sure your CLAIM, EVIDENCE, COMMENTARY are highlighted or underlined according to the instructions. HANDOUT--Research Assignment ABSENT? Pick up or print a copy of the assignment. Choose a group or find out which group you were assigned to. Choose a topic (read the assignment to find out your choices). Find a book in the library and write one page of notes. Include a citation for that book. Turn these notes in to Mrs. Lambert. THURSDAY, November 16 HANDOUT--Research Assignment (handed out in class Wednesday) ABSENT? Continue the research that you started yesterday. Now you'll use Internet sources to see what else you can find out about your topic. Remember that you are looking for 1)causes, 2)consequences, and 3)ways to prevent it. Use Google and other searching tools to find some helpful internet sources. Write down the addresses and bring them to school. You'll want to save them to your favorites here at school, so you can work with them here.

Click on the EBSCO link and follow instructions to look for periodicals (magazines) with information about your topic. If you have questions, make sure you ask me or Mrs. Lambert when you return to school. Mrs. Lambert can access your folder to check your work. |
